SUMMARY:Community Fair and Horticultural Show
DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY 24th JUNE 2023\nThe Hayling College\, Church Rd\, Hayling Island PO11 0NU \nIf you are entering the show; \nEntries can be brought along on Friday 23rd from 6:15pm – 7pm or Saturday 24th morning from 8am – 10:15am.  All entries must be in and arranged by 10:15 when you will be asked to leave the hall. Judging will commence at 10:30am. There will be lots of people around to help you. \nThis year we will be welcome community organisations\, charities and school groups to our Summer event. Brent Lodge Wildlife Trust will be offering face painting and running a treasure hunt for families\,  and the Repair Cafe will be demonstrating some basic skills such as how to wire a plug and sew on buttons. \nWe will also be joined by; \n\nFinal Straw Foundation and Borrow Bags\nHampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust\nHayling U3A\nPlant Heritage\nMens Shed\nFirst Responders\nGrowing Together Project\nMill Rythe Infant and Junior School PTAs\n\nThere will also be the plant sale\, tombola\, tea and coffees and Northney Farm Ice Cream available.

SUMMARY:HIHS Summer Show
DESCRIPTION:The Horticultural Society’s Summer Show\nThere will be Roses\, Sweet Peas and a wide variety of other flower entries on display.  A ‘Smell and Vote’ class\, where visitors can vote on the most fragrant rose bloom. Cookery\, handicraft\, photography and floral art exhibits.  Plus the junior exhibits including a poster for a party to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee and this year photographs of something beginning with S. \nThe show opens to the disabled from 1:30 pm \nOpen to the general public from 2:00 pm \nPrize money from 3:00 pm \nPresentation of prizes 4:00 pm followed by removal of exhibits. \nThere will be a plant stall and tombola and a refreshment stall for you to purchase drinks and a slice or two of cake. \n  \nExhibitors:  Staging takes place 6:15pm – 7:00pm Friday 8th July\,  8:00 – 10:15am Saturday 9th July. Judging will commence at 10:30am. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Following the popularity of our virtual shows\, we are now delighted to be holding a Summer Show in June.  Winning entries will be publicised in the local press\, on our website and our Facebook page. You will be notified by email with a list of winners by mid-July.   We are offering a prize of a £5 gift voucher to be spent in our Trading Centre for the 1st placed winner in each class.   Junior Classes will receive a book voucher.  All junior entries receive a certificate. \nAll we need are two images (jpgs) sent to us by email – one of your entry and also one of you with your entry (please state that you are happy for us to use this photo). Please state the class number in your email.
