In the spring this garden comes alive with a riot of colour and you can expect to see Magnolias towering 40 feet high, Camellias in groves, footpaths winding through hills carpeted in bluebells, many hundreds of Rhododendrons and Azaleas. All these plants produce an amazing symphony of scents. At every turn, you will find flowers in so many different colours and shapes plus grade 1 listed woodland gardens. Deep in the valley, this array of colour is reflected within the lakes, creating breath taking views especially the Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
Leonardslee is home to an extraordinary range of wildlife including foxes, rabbits, grey squirrels, badgers, weasels, stoats, shrews, voles, and our now famous wallabies. The estate is home to over 100 free roaming deer. Many birds are regularly sighted in spring include electric blue kingfishers, yellow Wagtails and even Buzzards, who have taken to nesting in one of the giant Sequoia (Redwoods) from California. Grade I listed woodland gardens • Year-round entertainment • Stunning 240-acre estate • Rare wallaby colony • Michelin star Restaurant Interlude • Famous Dolls’ House Museum • Gift shop & plant centre • Wine tastings For further information please visit https://www.leonardsleegardens.co.uk/
