Medical Centre Garden – Can you help?
The Horticultural
Society has been asked to help the Lions and other local groups with a project at the Medical Centre. There is a room and an outside patio/garden that has been set aside for their volunteer helpers but both of which are pretty basic. For all the staff and volunteers during this challenging time it is important that the breaks that they get can be as relaxing as possible.
So far the list of items offered include patio furniture and pots/planters for the outside, and a dishwasher and table football for the inside.
We are hoping that HIHS members might have some spare shrubs to plant along the fence together with any other plants that would work well in a new border or in pots.
And if anyone has any bird feeders that they do not use any more that would be great?
Finally, most of the planting and other practical tasks will be carried out at weekends when the Centre is closed and if any HIHS members are able to help they would be welcome.
For all plant offers and if interested in helping out please e-mail me on timspeller@hotmail.co.uk
